It's still on, dammit.

I went to the vet AGAIN!! Mummy was telling me I would be getting my bandage off today. Well, she was right. BUT THEY PUT ON A NEW ONE!!
My foot looked pretty gross. There's a hole in the skin, but it's all nice and clean now - not smelly, anymore. Guess what Dr. Susanne put on my foot? Honey!! Yup...honey. It keeps everything clean and even makes hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. Cool, eh? Mummy was joking that she was going to dip my foot in her tea. They all laughed. I didn't think it was funny.
Anyway, I'm back home again and, as usual, I went right for my food bowl when I came in the door. I've got Mummy well trained - she filled it up.
You know, I had so many bite opportunities this time and I didn't take advantage of any of them! Oh well...there's always next time...

He was my nemesis...but he didn't know it!!

I met my "cousin" Murphy almost 13 years ago. Mummy brought him home just before Christmas and he wouldn't leave me alone!! He was huge, yet he was only 5 months old!! He used to flop on me; I would beat him up. It was no fun beating him up cuz he never fought back.

Anyway, Murphy died yesterday. There was something wrong with his brain and it was making him have lots of seizures. Even his vet was crying when he died because he was such a great kitty...even if I didn't think so.

Murphy wasn't too bright, and he had a perpetually stoned look on his face - Mummy called him Bobo. He loved people...when he got over his fear of them. He also had a habit of following people he loved...by running in front of them! Mummy would walk into the bedroom and Murphy would beat her there and flop on the bed, waiting for a tummy rub.

He was also quite the singer. Mummy used to laugh her head off when he would sing at the top of his lungs in the middle of the night. Silly boy.

Murphy didn't know how to be mad. He got his sister Katy mad all the time, but he didn't have the capacity for menace. He was a very happy boy.

He went to sleep quietly with his mummy and daddy by his side.

OUCH!!

My poor paw! I went to the vet last week for my old lady check up, as you all know, and when Dr. Susanne checked my feet, they were fine, except for one little spot on my left heel that I keep licking. Two days later, however, Mummy noticed a big yucky hole on my right "hock". It was kind of oozy, but it looked clean, so Mummy put some antibacterial ointment on it and just kept an eye on it.

Yesterday, however, it got smelly. EW!! Mummy dragged me to the vet today because of it.

Dr. Susanne is quite puzzled as to what it could be, but she cleaned it all up - after a topical anaesthetic so it wouldn't hurt - and then she wrapped it all up. I'll bet you're all impressed that a kitty can spell anaesthetic...

I also got a shot! Ow!! And Mummy seems to have more treats to give me. I hope they taste like chicken. Amoxil tastes like chicken, as far as I know.

I was a really good girl this time. Dr. Susanne let Mummy hold onto me this time and I didn't struggle...I didn't even have to go in the bag!! I'm not too impressed with this bandage, though...

I'm a big kitty, I am!!

Okay...since posting about my huge cousin kitty Alex, I wanted to make sure everyone knew what a formidable kitty I am. I've used the same American dollar to show scale...

See? I am huge. I weigh a total of...well...six and a half pounds...

Mummy's friend says that forensic photographers...or whatever they're called...always use some sort of scale in their photographs. Sometimes, though, if they don't have a real scale, they'll use a dollar bill...American ones will, anyway. Mummy wondered what Canadian ones used...

Hmm...the loonie scale doesn't work so well, eh? As it happens, Mummy's got a paper Canadian dollar that belonged to her grandmother - Granny kept it for good luck. I think this one works better, don't you?

Anyway, now that you know how huge I am, let me tell you about my recent visit to see Dr. Susanne. I was not impressed.

I went in for my regular old lady check-up. I don't like that place, but the ladies there are nice. As usual, though, they confused me by sticking stuff in me and putting me in a bag!! I think they were all impressed by my strength!!

Dr. Susanne wanted to get some blood from me. I was bound and determined not to let her get it. She won.

After my vet visit, I came home, ate, then slept for HOURS! Mummy had to keep checking on me to make sure I was just sleeping. I was exhausted.

The result of all this is that I'm a pretty healthy old thing. Mummy was told, "Just keep doing what you're doing." Yay! That means more yummy, smelly food!!
